Free Distribution of Medical Equipment to destitute and elderly
An initiative to identify basic healthcare requirements of destitute elderly living in the slums of Delhi NCR and provide them with medical/healthcare assistance in form of walker, walking sticks, wheel chairs, bed pans, adult diapers, spectacle frames, clothes, food ration, medicines, etc. 120 Consultation and Distribution camps have already been organized in different parts of Delhi-NCR

Over 5000 destitute and old people spread across Delhi-NCR have already been assisted under this project so far.

Share the Warmth Campaign during winters
Agewell Foundation ensures no destitute old person is deprived of warmth during winters. Agewell collects old/used woolens and other relief material from across Delhi & NCR by setting up collection points at various market, community and public places. Agewell volunteers distribute the collected woolens amongst old & needy older persons. Initiated in 2010-11, the campaign has been very effective and successful. Over 5,00,000 destitute and old people spread across Delhi-NCR have benefitted through the campaign so far.

 

Police Personnel Sensitization & Training towards older persons
Agewell Foundation has undertaken a Sensitization and Training program for Delhi Police personnel about needs & rights of older people in collaboration with Delhi Police. The foundation has organized Sensitization and Training program at various police stations of Delhi.

 

“I Am Responsible” Campaign
Agewell Foundation has initiated an outreach program in Delhi & NCR to sensitize young school children about needs & rights of older persons and conservation of electricity and water in collaboration with Rural Electrification Corporation, a public sector undertaking of Govt. of India. Through the project the Foundation aims at sensitizing school children, through them their family members and also developing school children into responsible citizens of the future. Under the project thought provoking communication campaign was launched which included posters, banners, stickers, student s activity booklets, teacher s manuals, etc. Agewell volunteers has interacted over 50000 students of 50 schools spread across Delhi-NCR.

Free Hearing Screening for Older Persons
In association with Amplifon India, the world s largest hearing service provider, Agewell Foundation has been organizing Free Hearing Screening camps for older persons in Delhi-NCR. During the camps, free counseling regarding hearing problems is given to all participating oldr persons.
